Overview

After researching, we were unable to locate the building code adoption ordinance.

Cochise County, AZ adopts the following codes:

  • The International Building Code, 2012 edition, including Appendices B, E, G, I, and K.
  • The International Residential Code, 2012 edition, including Appendices A, B, C, D, G, H, J, and K.
  • The International Existing Building Code, 2012 edition, including Appendices A and B.

No amendments to Table R301.2(1) were found in the residential code amendments.

Contacted Paul Esparza, Planning Manager/Interim Building Official, (6/30/2020) who informed us that "Cochise County does not have a requirement for ice barrier underlayment. We do not have the weather conditions to warrant this requirement."
